Evolving triptych composed of "Cadette", "Mom", and "Ego"
Challenge
Through this exhibition, I aimed to create a portrait of personalities I was familiar with, in an approach that combines synesthesia, exploration, and introspection.
Goal
The goal was not to paint the physical appearance of the subject, but their character, state of mind, and way of being. To achieve this, I used abstract and concrete forms, accumulations, erasures, and color play, among other techniques.
Results
These are constantly evolving paintings. They are not, and will never be, truly finished, just as we will never stop evolving and changing. Triade is a synonym for trio, but in the feminine form. This triptych represents my little sister, my mother, and myself: three women. That is why I made this choice.
